CCCG and Cochrane provide support, resources and training on how to tackle a systematic review, and an international audience when your work is published in The Cochrane Library.
Our trial search coordinator will be able to help with the development of the search strategy for the specific review in collaboration with the authors. At present, CCCG has developed a comprehensive search (based upon MeSH terms and text words) in the Cochrane Library and PubMed. In addition, CCCG searches EMBASE, MEDLINE and SCI on a regular basis for identification of primary trials for specific reviews.
Reporting of reviews
CCCG do not have a stated policy regarding the use of reviews (tables, figures etc.) in the media, but advise authors to follow the general Cochrane policy. Each case can be discussed individually by the CCCG editorial board.
The publisher of the Cochrane Library, Wiley/Blackwell, allows double publication in several international periodicals. The authors of a Cochrane systematic review will be asked for a dual publication allowance, using a form, downloadable from www.interscience.wiley.com.
In agreement with the responsible authors, a summary of the protocol/review will be presented at the CCCG web-site.
